Traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) has a very significant role in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. In some Asian countries such as Vietnam, Japan, Korea, China…, 12 animal designations are used in succession to be the specific name for a year according tothe signs of the Heavenly Systems and of the Earthly Branches and snake is one of them. Image of this animal is appeared not only in most cultures, but also carried many different meanings, sometimes conflicting. Snake of is one of the original religious of the ancient Vietnamese.
