Ton That Tung (05/10/1912 – 05/7/1982) was a famous professor,doctor in the study of liver and liver surgery in Vietnam and the world. He has laid the foundation of Vietnam modern medicine, and held many important positions in large hospitals. He was one of the founders of the Hanoi Medical University and a teacher who has trained more talented doctors for Vietnam. He was awarded the title Hero of Labor, Ho Chi Minh Prize, Academician of Medicine Academy of the Soviet Union, Paris Surgery Academy and more noble prizes & medals by Vietnam andInternational Organizations.
